High gas prices are (finally) having an effect. On Friday, The US Dept of Transportation reported that Americans cut their driving mileage in March, down 4.3% from year ago levels. They reported that this is the largest one month year on year decline on record. Oil prices are much higher since this data was compiled so the effect will be even greater as the year moves on.
If you own an SUV or truck, the value of your vehicle has fallen precipitously. Not only are you paying more for gas, but you will get less if you attempt to trade it in….
